2013 – Forming the Training Network

,

CEH worked with other organisations to form the Trainers Network that brings together representatives from comparable organisations that provide cultural competence education and training. Network membership includes: Foundation House, Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Action on Disability in Ethnic Communities, Victorian Transcultural Mental Health and AMES. The network meets quarterly and has identified collaboration, resource and information sharing, and trainers’ professional development as its priorities.

A significant outcome of the collaboration is that CEH now provides two free places in each calendar training session to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (for paid or volunteer staff), as an act of support for the under-resourced organisation.
