We conducted an online survey ‘Translation Training Needs Survey’ which evaluated how effective translations were.
Based on anecdotal evidence, we concluded that materials prepared by health and community sector organisations for translation to languages other than English were not effective.
Of 81 responses, 32% had not submitted resources for translation, and almost 50% of respondents said the poor quality of translation is a concern.
